About Shastri ji
Shastri Jagdish Tripathi was born in a small village in district Panna in Madhya Pradesh, India. From his early age after initial schooling, he joined the Maharashi Ved Vigyan Vidyapeeth at Shankaracharya Nagar in Rishikesh, Uttaranchal between 1986 and 1992, where he learned Vedic Karam Kand, Jyotish, Vaastu, Yoga, Bhavateet Dhyan and Sanatan Shatras.
From 1992 to 2000, he was the main Acharya at Guru Gangeshwar Ved mission Dham, Mumbai, promoting Sanatan Dharm, Yagna Anushthan. During his stay at Mumbai he was the chief editor of Triveni – a spiritual magazine.
In 2000, he came to USA at Satyanarayan Mandir, New York and was the Chief Acharya of the temple.
Since 2008, Shastriji has been promoting Sanatam dharam inependently all over the USA and the Carribean, specially in the tri state area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. He also travels all over the world for promoting Sanatan culture.
His Vision
Shastriji’s vision is to promote the Vedic Sanatan way of life and teachings to everyone in Bharat and abroad. To this end, he wants to build a Gurukul in India where kids can stay and study hindu scriptures free of cost.
His other goal is Gau Samvardhan and Gau Seva. To this end, he has established Govinddham Ashram at Gunnour Village, district Panna in Madhya Pradesh India.
To attain these goals, at Govinddham Ashram, Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple was built and a Bhavan was built in 2019. Gaushala was also started in 2019 but due to Corona, both the activities were stopped.
With Ram Lalla’s mandir inaugurated at Ayodhya, a huge task of a Year long non stop Ramayan path was started on January 22, 2024 and will complete on January 22 , 2025. Gaushala and Gurukul activities will restart after the culmination of the festivities in January 2025.
